Neptune in Aries: Letting Go, Even When It Sucks

Neptune just moved into Aries for the first time in over 160 years.

Let that land for a second.

No one alive today has lived through this transit before. The last time Neptune was in Aries was back in the 1800s—before electricity, before the internet, before the noise of modern life got so loud. This is brand new energy for all of us, and yeah... I’ve been feeling it.

Last week, I felt this low-key anxiety buzzing under the surface. Nothing specific was wrong, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something big was shifting. I just didn’t have language for it at the time.

Now I do.

Neptune is the planet of dreams, illusions, intuition, and soul stuff. It’s foggy and mystical by nature. Aries is the opposite—it’s fire, action, clarity, and forward motion. Put those together, and what you get is a strange but powerful mix: the dissolving of illusion through action. Or to put it more simply—shit is being stripped away so you can see more clearly and move more honestly.

Personally, this is showing up in a situation in my life where the outcome I wanted—the one I thought was meant for me—isn’t happening right now. I’ve done the work. I’ve shown up. I’ve hoped. And it’s just not unfolding the way I planned.

Old me might have fought harder, gripped tighter, pushed through.

But this version of me is choosing something different:Surrender.Trust. Flow.

Not the Instagram version of surrender—but the raw, sometimes painful kind where you let go of what you thought was best and listen for what’s actually calling you forward. That’s where I’m at.

This transit is an invitation to stop resisting what’s real. To stop pretending we’re in control of everything. To soften our grip and ask ourselves: What if the universe has something better in mind? What if my timeline isn't the one that matters? What if letting go is the most courageous thing I can do right now?

Neptune in Aries is big energy. It’s going to be with us until 2039. That’s 14 years of this slow-burning fire—asking us to let go of the illusions, the ego stories, the performative healing—and come back to something real. Something aligned. Something that might not look the way we expected, but feels like truth.

So if you’ve been feeling off, uncertain, or like something is shifting under the surface… you’re not alone.

Let it shift. Let it fall away. Let it lead you somewhere new.

You don’t have to know where you're going yet. You just have to stop pretending you’re not already being led.

xoxo, Nicole
